The RHS Photographic Competition 2012

 

The competition is open to amateur and professional photographers alike with 5 distinct categories for adults and two for children and young people. The top adult prize is £1,000 and has the coveted title of RHS Photographer of the Year, while younger photographers can battle it out for a digital camera and the chance to be named RHS Young Photographer of the Year.

Share your amazing photos of Scotland to WIN!  To mark the Year of Creative Scotland 2012, ‘Visit Scotland’ are looking for the unique, uplifting, fun and quirky side of Scotland. Water Works - Scottish schools competition

 

A monthly online photographic competition all about water & how we use it in Scotland.

The Water Works competition are looking for photos taken both indoors and outdoors which reflect how we think of water, how we use it and what problems are associated with water, such as flooding, drought, or pollution.

The competition runs from Jan - Dec 2012 and is open to anyone up to 18 years.  There will be a winning image each month and one overall for the year.  The monthly winner will be announced on the James Hutton Institute (www.hutton.ac.uk) & centre of Expertise for Waters (www.crew.ac.uk) websites winning a £25 Amazon voucher. The overall winner will be presented with a canvas print of their photo and a £100 Amazon voucher.

Photos must be emailed to waterworks@crew.ac.uk by the 22nd of each month

Photo must be taken in Scotland with a high resolution (min 3mb) - limited to 1 per person per month

REMEMBER! Your details - name, age and school address Your caption -  please provide a caption to accompany your photo and a paragraph (less than 50 words) explaining what the image depicts and where it was taken.

Focus Environment - Scotland’s National Environmental Photographic Competition for Secondary Schools

Focus Environment is an environmental photographic competition for secondary school pupils throughout Scotland. The competition encourages young people between the ages of 11-18, to demonstrate their awareness of the natural world around them.
